  I recently ate at here with my wife. I'll state immediately that the food was generally good and tasty and service excellent and prompt. However there were a few bits that were not quite so good and where attention to detail were sadly lacking. I ordered the duck and orange starter. This came with fresh sliced orange. Oh dear .. and lots of pith and enough pips to start your own orchard ! The main course of fish cakes was good. We concluded with the cheese board. The waitress did not know 50 % of the cheeses served - all from a local dairy. The portions of cheese were on the mean side for the price charged and served only with with four oatcakes. Sadly all the cheeses were served chilled and not at room temperature so we could not appreciate their full flavour which I'm sure served correctly would have been fantastic. A reasonable meal but we would not rush back there to eat
